On Tuesday, SaltStack, the creators of intelligent automation for IT operations and security teams, announced the general availability of SaltStack Protect.
SaltStack announced the general availability of SaltStack Protect for automated discovery and remediation of security vulnerabilities across web-scale infrastructure.
SaltStack Protect is meant to make the “massive amount of coordination and work required to actually fix thousands of infrastructure security vulnerabilities” less daunting.
Thomas Hatch, SaltStack CTO, comments the general inability for device manufacturers to properly maintain the security of digital infrastructure at scale.
“For months, we’ve followed the speculation that BlueKeep would become wormable as soon as public exploits became available,” said Thomas Hatch, CTO at SaltStack. “Metasploit is the exploit module we feared and the BlueKeep vulnerability is very real.”
